Today is my late father’s birthday. He would have been 72 years old today. I know, it sucks not having him around, but I have all the great memories of him so they’re good enough to remind me of a beautiful father’s image to me. I love his Putomaya specialty. It’s one of the dishes that he is so good at. When I made such dish and ate it sided with a sweet yellow mangoes, it was him that I thought of the first thing.

Every August 1st brings a whole lot of memories because each time such day occurs, I think of my late father and how special he is to me.
Happy birthday, Pa! I wish you’re around, but until then… I shall think of you each time!
